Dance Exams

Students are encouraged to take Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) dance exams. These represent a milestone approach to assessing student progress in ballet, tap or modern dance and by working toward exams, students learn to set goals and improve their own dance standards. Exams also lead to professional qualifications and higher levels of dance training. In order to take exams in ballet, students must attend two or more classes each week from Grade 2 onward. Exams are also taken in Tap, Modern, and bronze, silver or gold Jazz award.

Most exams take place during the spring of each year and dance class attendance is a must for the period up to scheduled exam dates.
